Hi everybody,
Just a quick reminder about the Tournament on Sunday. Tonight is our last night to practice before the Tournament. See you tonight!

P.S.-Below are the tournament details again:
What: 2nd NOLA Badminton TournamentWhen: June 22, 2008 5:00pm-8:00pmWhere: Loyola Recreational CenterRules:1. Mixed/Mens/Womans Doubles2. Partners are chosen randomly from a box of numbers. 2 matching numbers will play together.3. One game match. Race to 25 Points instead on 21. Switch courts on point 13.4. Each team will play against all the teams.5. Team with most number of wins, and team with second most number of wins, plays for the finals. 3 game match, 21 Rule (Race to 21). If the team with the most number of wins, is undefeated, they are declared the winner. If time permits, there could be a semi finals match. 1 vs. 4 then 2 vs. 3. Winner of each match will play for the finals.6. Tournament fee - $5.00 per person.7. Fees will include shuttlecocks. We will use Yin Yang Brand only!. 2 shuttlecocks max per game. (Please don't go over 2) If more than 2 are needed, provide your own, but it has to be the same brand as the shuttlecock used in the tournament. Please return all the shuttles to the reception desk especially shuttles that can still be used for other matches.8. The tournament champions win 1 tube of shuttlecocks (not each), bragging rights and whatever other prices solicited.9. During play, water breaks are allowed during a match, but only the SERVING TEAM can call the time out!!! Water breaks = 30secs.10. You cannot leave the court area during water breaks. You should bring all i.e. beverages, extra racket, towels, etc. with you and place it at the side of the court.11. The serving team does not have to wait for the receiving team to get ready to serve unless the receiving team, raises their hand and signal that they are not yet ready. (This happened lots of times during the last tournament.) [We just don't have that luxury of time to wait for you. :) If you are tired and needs a time out, look at rule #9."]12. If a shuttlecock from another court flies to your court during play, your play is considered dead ball unless both teams agree to continue play. If otherwise, serving team will serve again.
13. ONLY the Serving team can request a change in shuttlecock! The receiving team CANNOT request to change the shuttlecock unless BOTH teams agree to have the shuttle change. (I noticed last time that the receiving teams were requesting a change in shuttlecock without the approval of the serving team) But bear in mind the max of 2 shuttles.
