Just a note from the previous email. On the 16th of March there will be no badminton on that sunday.

Remeber if you want to come let me know so we can organize carpools. Right now we have a few people who have expressed interest in going down to New Orleans to play. Just email me back at jangl88 at hotmail.com or ljang1 at lsu.edu if you want to go down to play. This is a great opportunity to play with people we don't usually play with and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun :)
As to the rules for the tournament here they are again:
What: 1st NOLA Badminton TournamentWhen: March 16, 2008 5:00pm-8:00pmWhere: Loyola Recreational CenterRules: 1. Mixed/Mens/Womans Doubles2. Partners are chosen randomly from a box of numbers. 2 matchingnumbers will play together.3. 21 Points Rule of Play, 1 game match. Change court at point 11.4. Each team will play against all the teams.5. Team with most number of wins, and team with second most number ofwins, play for the finals. 3 game match, 21 Rule. If the team with themost number of wins, is undefeated, they are declared the winner.6. Tournament fee - $5.00 per person.7. Fees will include shuttlecocks. 2 shuttlecocks max per game. Ifmore than 2 are needed, provide your own, but it has to be the samebrand as the shuttlecock used in the tournament.8. The tournament champions win 1 tube of shuttlecocks each, braggingrights and probably some extra cash.9. During play, water breaks are allowed during play, but can only becalled by the serving team. Water breaks = 30secs.10. You cannot leave the court area during water breaks. You shouldbring all i.e. beverages, extra racket, towels, etc. with you andplace it at the side of the court.11. The serving team does not have to wait for the receiving team toget ready to serve unless the receiving team, raises their hand andsignal that they are not yet ready.12. If a shuttlecock from another court flies to your court duringplay, your play is considered dead ball unless both teams agree tocontinue play. If otherwise, serving team will serve again.
